Hereβs what you can expect to LEARN, based off reviews from previous wise circle participants.
I do best with a community to share with and actively listen to.
Meditation comes in all shapes and sizes; every way is the right way.
Iβm not alone in suffering.
How to create empathy for myself, as I would for someone else.
I learned how to move past my instinct to shape a share, or shape a writing prompt into something that felt like a clean narrative... and lean into just raw, immediate self-expression.
Itβs okay to use my voice.
I deserve 90 minutes a week to myself.
Showing up and doing simple practices makes a profound impact on my life.
Explore different avenues of play and creation.
I came away with great tools for getting out of the head spiral with writing and drawing.
Hereβs what other soul siblings LOVE about wise circle.
The flow of weekly practice labs was wonderful.
The whole experience was magic.
I loved the writing and drawing prompts.
We were only required to show up as we were.
The intimacy of the small group.
Alexanderβs gentle and wise presence and leadership.
Loved the weekly musings and meditations.
I love that I felt safe to share and be vulnerable.
I loved listening and caring fully to hear anotherβs experience and feelings.
I LOVE that it just felt like such a safe and soft place to show up and be completely vulnerable. In the 5 weeks we sat with each other I really did feel like I connected with my soul siblings.
I really loved the format, the amount of time each session, and seeing everyone each week. I liked how you had a subject each week for drawing and writing.
What did you LOVE about the ten minute share each week in wise circle?
βI loved watching someone's share unfold. It's one thing to share for three minutes... or five minutes... But a ten minute share is a journey, and a vulnerable one. It asks you to remain open and take up that space. And it asks us fellow Wise Circle members to remain in that state of deep listening. Some Circle members (myself included) would go on an entire emotional journey in those ten minutes, from a quippy entry into a deep revelation at the end. I felt so grateful to bear witness. There was so much humanity in that. I also was so grateful to have people bear witness to me. I tried my best in Wise Circle to not filter my experience for others, which was scary and hard. But it's something I needed to practice in order to accept myself more after recent relationship events and heal. Wise Circle gave me the environment to practice that.β

βBeing a part of the Wise Circle reminded me how important it is to have a small community of people to share things with. The writing and drawing prompts gave direction making it easier for me to get started. Alexander is a terrific mentor, facilitator, and friend. I will be begging to sign up for another session.β

I learned that Iβm not alone in suffering and how to create the same empathy for myself as I would for someone else. I also came away with some great tools for getting out of the head spiral with writing and drawing.

βAlexander facilitated a informative, deeply caring and inspiring circle that I will carry in my heart. Practicing poetry, music, art, movement & mindfulness with fellow soul seekers has inspired me to burst with creativity and love my life again. To be alive is the point. Simple and profound and it was lovely to be guided by such a gifted, gentle and wise teacher.β

βMeeting weekly for a month in circle setting was a gift! I got so much out of our time together but also gained much from the musings, prompts, meditations, and assignments that Alexander gave us every week. He is a delight to work with.. highly recommend!β

βAlexanderβs Wise Circle was a beautiful space to connect and learn. It was beneficial for me to dive deeper into spiritual intention and learn various ways to do this. The connection we got as a small group was amazing. We shared our experiences on the topics Alexander provided and it gave an authentic way to see similarities and differences within the circle. Iβve loved Alexanderβs wisdom and insight and this gave me the opportunity to connect with him regularly and on a deeper and more personal level.β

FEATURED EPISODE: Itβs My New Year! And Harvey Audio-Texted Me For The First Time.
This is the second year I'm celebrating the New Year at the Spring Equinox. I thought March 25th, being the full moon and all, would be the perfect beginning. Do you know about my Guided Meditation Starter Kit? I'll tell you about it. Don't just take my word for it, Bryce Orvin recently left me a comment after practicing one of the guided meditations: "What a soothing, gentle introduction to making sit happen. Your love resonates with every soft word, encouragement, and thoughtful soundscape. Thank you Alexander for sharing the gifts youβve developed and the powerful peace you have cultivated. My anxiety has evaporated and restful slumber awaits.Yahoo!"
Harvey Rose Cates, my almost 5.5 year old Goddess Daughter has her iPad set up for communication. We're in the beginning phases, and you're luck has it, because today she audio texted me for the very first time, and I've copy and pasted some of the fun for your lovely ears to enjoy. We'll finish the podcast talking about taking your time to build your life, sobriety, creative projects, relationship, next career endeavor. All of it! "Good things take much longer than you think" (Sean Einhaus). Viral Mindfulness has taken me years to build. I'll introduce you to someone I love following. His name is Julian Curi, known on socials as "Righteous Robot." He makes art and movies and just launched his newest papercut Short Film called GRUFF. It's divine. He cuts and films and make paper people. You have got to see this!
We'll finish this episode with the gorgeous prose of Brianna Weist for gentle encouragement: "Happiness is something that is gently built. It is what you make ritual within your life, what you allow yourself to get used to. You think of happiness as a constant forward motion, a kind of growing that looks a lot more like reaching β always toward some newer, brighter horizon. Yet, happiness is consistent effort in the same direction. It is the way you strengthen bonds, uncover beauty, and grow to become most comfortable with yourself. It is how you learn to trace the lines of your innermost desires outward into the world, to find within them the pockets where you most belong. It is to live in a way that makes you feel grateful you are here, that affirms how connected you are to something greater, that makes you remember you are working toward something that will one day add up to be more meaningful than all of its parts."
